The Bayshore Grass Parking area was severely damaged by Hurricane Milton. A new assessment is required to confirm that the previous design will still meet current project needs. Submittals have been received, and an engineer of record has been confirmed. The Cultural Center Replacement project was approved to move forward with masterplanning and programming by the Board of County Commissioners on March 12th 2024 following a series of public input activities and final presentation. The board granted $750,000 to proceed with advertising for a consultant. Additionally the direction was given to move forward with demolition of the existing facility scheduled for FY26.
