The department is made up of four divisions: Intake Services, Veteran Services, Aging & Adult Services and Neighborhood Services.

The Charlotte County Hurricane Ian Seawall Repair Assistance program has remaining funds to be expended before June 30, 2025, and applications are being accepted through May 30. Homeowners may submit a complete application packet for reimbursement of up to 50% of eligible costs.
