From preserving natural spaces to offering opportunities for fitness, learning, arts, and recreation, we help make Charlotte County a great place to live, work, and play.

Community Services includes:
  • Five recreation centers
  • Four public swimming pools
  • Three public libraries
  • More than 60 parks, beaches, preserves, trails, playgrounds, sports complexes, and outdoor spaces

Centennial Park Recreation Pool located at 1120 Centennial Blvd., Port Charlotte, will be closing at 5 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026, for a swim meet. The pool will reopen on Wednesday, Sept. 2 on a normal operating schedule.
