Online inspection scheduling: Contractors only. Available 24/7. Request must be made by 8 p.m. to be eligible for next day service.

Permit counter and phone hours (except holidays): 
Last customer served at 3:30 p.m. 
  • Monday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Tuesday through Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Inspector hours: 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (in the field only) Monday through Friday (holidays).

Temporary Residential Recreational Vehicle and Mobile Home Extension

After Hurricane Ian made landfall on Charlotte County, the Charlotte County Commission voted to allow residents displaced by the hurricane to live in RVs or temporary mobile homes on developed residential lots for up to two years. Since that time, 2023 House Bill 250 was signed by the governor, which extends that time period to three years from the emergency declaration.
