Swimming Lessons help children and adults build confidence and essential water safety skills. Swimming lessons are important because they help reduce the risk of drowning, improve physical fitness, and teach lifelong safety habits in and around the water. A swim assessment is required prior to placement to ensure each swimmer is enrolled in the appropriate class level.

Water Aerobics provides a fun and easy-to-follow water exercise class focused on movement, flexibility, and fitness. Exercises can be adjusted for different ability levels. Open to adults 18 and older.

Lap Swimming is available in designated lanes for exercise and fitness. Open to all ages and skill levels. If lanes are busy, swimmers may share lanes or wait for space. Admission also includes access to recreational swimming areas for the day.

Recreational Swimming gives you space to enjoy the pool for fun, relaxation, or light exercise. Features vary by location and may include diving boards, shallow play areas, basketball hoops, and walking areas. Admission also includes access to lap swimming areas for the day.
Charlotte County Community Services uses the Earth Networks Lightning Alerting System at all four county pools. It is the most accurate system and new standard in lightning detection technology.
When the system detects lightning within 10 miles of the facility, the air horn sounds an uninterrupted 15-second blast and a strobe light will activate. When the horn and/or the light activates, the lifeguards will direct you to clear the pool area and seek shelter indoors for 30 minutes. Each time lightning is detected within 10 miles, the alert system timer resets to 30 minutes and begins counting down again.
When the system no longer detects a threat, three 5-second blasts from the horn will sound and the strobe light will stop flashing. The lifeguards will announce when the pool reopens.
- An
means the pool will remain closed until there is
and the lifeguards announce that the pool is open. -
If the Connection is
or
please check with the lifeguards to see if the pool is open.
Please note: The hours of operation on the Earth Networks widget are for the lightning alerting system NOT the pool.
