The facility shall include climate-controlled storage area for sensitive polling equipment and related supplies and support staff. Must be readily accessible and support staff needs for monitoring tabulation. Preferably house SOE administrative offices and serve public visitation in the same location. Includes 10,000 sq ft for emergency managemet and facilities.

The Cultural Center Replacement project was approved to move forward with masterplanning and programming by the Board of County Commissioners on March 12th 2024 following a series of public input activities and final presentation. The board granted $750,000 to proceed with advertising for a consultant. Additionally the direction was given to move forward with demolition of the existing facility scheduled for FY26. The full design and permitting phase is scheduled for funding in FY27 with construction funding in FY28.

Buildings A and B experienced water intrusion and structural damage. Building A has roof leaks and water damage in multiple rooms and hallways. Building B shows lobby damage, a stained ceiling tile, ripped awning, and damaged louvers. Both buildings have issues with debris in cooling towers and fire alarms in trouble mode. The parking lot sustained lighting damage. Mitigation efforts include drying, demolition, and cleaning, with equipment damage still under evaluation.

Storm damage includes a missing dumpster gate, bent fence gate, torn privacy canvas, exterior building damage, roof leaks, water intrusion, and wet carpet. Temporary repairs were done. A metal carport was destroyed, and fencing with privacy screens is bent and damaged, with minor gate and fence section damage.

The building suffered storm damage to about 100 feet of roof, along with damage to fascia, soffit, interior ceilings, walls, floors, doors, trim, furniture, equipment, and contents, with further assessment pending.
