CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (June 24, 2024) – The canoe/kayak launch at William R. Gaines Jr. Veterans Memorial Park located at 20499 Edgewater Drive in Port Charlotte will be closed beginning Monday, July 29-Oct. 31. Project mobilization will begin Wednesday, July 24.
Park patrons are advised to use caution around the construction area.
The fishing pier and small pavilion will remain open.
