Debris Contractor to Make Final Collection Pass Jan. 2

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Dec. 19, 2024) – Charlotte County’s Hurricane Milton debris contractor, AshBritt, has begun its final pass of debris collection. To see the progress of the final pass and where the pass has been completed, visit Charlotte County Right-of-Way Collection Operations - Hurricane Milton. The last day to put storm debris in the right of way for pickup is Jan. 2.

Charlotte County residential property owners can bring storm-related debris to one of the following drop-off sites (trailers cannot exceed 12 feet in length):

  • Mid-County Mini-Transfer & Recycling Facility (unlimited visits until further notice), 19765 Kenilworth Blvd., Port Charlotte. The facility is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • West Charlotte Mini-Transfer & Recycling Facility (unlimited visits until further notice), 7070 Environmental Way, Englewood. The facility is open 8 a.m.- 3:45 p.m., Tuesday-Saturday.

Waste Management has partnered with Charlotte County during Hurricane Milton storm recovery and continues to conduct bulk pickups, including tires, appliances (white goods) and vegetative debris, on customer’s regularly scheduled collection dates.
