CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (July 15, 2025) – Charlotte County Community Services Director Tommy Scott has been appointed to the National Association of County Parks & Recreation Officials board of directors.
“Being appointed to the NACPRO board means bringing our community’s voice to a national conversation,” said Scott. “I’m proud to represent our county, state and region to help ensure local experiences inform broader strategies for parks and recreation nationwide.”
NACPRO, as an affiliate of National Recreation and Parks Association and the National Association of Counties, has the opportunity to influence the legislative agendas of these organizations. They consider legislative concerns of county, regional and special park districts to make sure their interests are represented through the lobbying strength of the larger National Park and Recreation Association and National Association of Counties organizations. NACPRO represents 305 professional members, 129 agencies across 37 states and 30 CAPRA accredited agencies.
