CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Dec. 16, 2024) — Charlotte County Government offices and facilities will follow these schedules on Tuesday, Dec. 24 and Wednesday, Dec. 25 in observance of Christmas, and Wednesday, Jan 1, in observance of New Year’s Day:
Charlotte County government business offices, including Charlotte County Administration Center – Closed.
Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach Visitor & Convention Bureau Office – Closed. Visitors with questions on things to do can visit www.PureFlorida.com.
The Utilities Department (water & sewer) customer service will be closed. You can still pay your bill using our convenient electronic billing which can be found at www.CharlotteCountyFL.gov (under the Departments menu, click the Utilities link). You can also pay your bill by phone at 941-764-4300. Standby staff will be on call for utility emergencies at 941-764-4300.
Garbage collection – No collection service on Wednesday, Dec. 25 and Monday, Jan. 1. Collection will be one day later than usual through the week, with Friday customers being serviced on Saturday.
Mid-County Transfer Facility – Will close at 8 p.m. on Dec. 23 and 31.
Transfer stations (both West County and Mid-County) – Closed Dec. 24 and 25. Open at 8 a.m. on Dec. 26.
Zemel Road Landfill – Closed Dec. 25. and Jan. 1
Storm debris collection – Half-day collection service on Dec. 23. No collection Dec. 24 - Jan. 1.
Community Services Administration Offices – Closed.
Charlotte County Libraries and History Services Offices – Closed
Charlotte Harbor Event and Conference Center Offices – Closed.
Charlotte Sports Park county offices – Closed.

Port Charlotte Public Library – Closed Dec. 24, 25, and Jan. 1. Closes at 6 p.m. on Dec. 31.
