When visiting Charlotte County coastal beaches, please give nests space when setting up at the beach, fill in any holes created and knock down sandcastles. Nesting season begins May 1.

South County Regional Park Pool Closed for Swim Meet

The South County Regional Park pool located at 670 Cooper St., in Punta Gorda will be closed on April 20, 2024 for a swim meet. The pool will resume normal operating hours on Sunday April 21, 2024.

Utilities Department Summer Internship Program

The Charlotte County Utilities Department is seeking applicants for its six-week summer internship program. Applicants must be current high school students. The paid internship program will give students hands-on experience while learning about water distribution, treatment facilities, and wastewater collection.
