Charlotte County Economic Development and SBDC at FGCU to Host Digital Marketing Trends Workshop

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (March 2, 2026) — Charlotte County Economic Development, in partnership with the Florida Small Business Development Center at Florida Gulf Coast University, will host an in-person workshop on changing trends in digital marketing from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on March 12, 2026. The event will be offered at no cost to participants.The workshop will take place at the Charlotte County Economic Development Office conference room, 18501 Murdock Circle, Suite 203, Port Charlotte. Lunch will be provided to registered attendees. The session will be led by Theresa Ayers and will examine how shifts in search, social media, paid advertising and consumer behavior are influencing how businesses connect with customers.

(March 2, 2026) — Charlotte County Economic Development has recognized Jordan Aquila, President/CEO of Buffalo Graffix and president of the Charlotte County Jazz Society, as a February honoree in its 40 Under 40 program. The initiative highlights young professionals who are shaping the county’s future through leadership, innovation and community involvement.  Aquila grew up in Charlotte County and attended local schools before building his career and business here. He has since expanded Buffalo Graffix’s capabilities, invested in new technology and strengthened partnerships that enhance service for businesses throughout the region. In addition to leading a growing company, Aquila remains active in the community, including supporting arts and music education through the Charlotte County Jazz Society. He is also part of the Leadership Charlotte Class of 2026 through the Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce.

With less than 100 days until the start of hurricane season, Charlotte County Emergency Management is reminding residents that it is never too early to prepare. To help the community get a head start, Charlotte County will operate a Point of Distribution site on March 3, 2026, at 10175 S. Tamiami Trail, Punta Gorda, FL 33950 (entrance via Acline Road) to provide residents with hurricane supply kits, including tarps, Meals Ready-to-Eat, and water. 

The POD will be open from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., or until supplies run out. 

To ensure a safe and orderly operation, residents are asked not to arrive early or form a line before the site opens.
