CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (May 27, 2025) – A proposed land use amendment scheduled for consideration by the Charlotte County Commission has been postponed and will not appear on the June 10, 2025 Regular & Land Use agenda as previously announced.
The proposed amendment for the Rural Settlement Area Overlay District (RSAOD), listed as Application Number TCP-24-04, has been delayed at the request of the applicant. The applicant has asked for additional time to address questions and concerns raised during the May 12, 2025 Planning and Zoning Board meeting.
A new transmittal hearing date has not yet been scheduled. Once a new date is confirmed, it will be posted on www.CharlotteCountyFL.gov and on the subject property at least 15 days before the hearing. Additionally, a postcard with the updated hearing date will be mailed to property owners and adjacent property owners within 1,000 feet of the subject property at least 30 days prior to the rescheduled hearing.
