Aircraft Rescue & Fire Fighting Training

The Charlotte County Public Safety Training Center offers an array of training to emergency responders. Our ARFF training programs help prepare responders for response, hazard mitigation, evacuation, and rescue of passengers and aircraft crews involved in emergency incidents. Our programs satisfy all the necessary Federal requirements of certification and training. Our instructors are frontline responders themselves, with the tools and knowledge to provide the highest level of instruction and experience to our customers.

Our simulator is a state-of-the-art full-sized aircraft prop that mimics the average size of aircraft occupying most airports. The simulator has a 64-foot wingspan, an 11-foot-high passenger compartment, and a 55 square foot cockpit. There are 4 door types, 4 engine types, a touch screen control system within the control room and additional redundant safety features. The aircraft simulator offers exterior fire scenarios such as fuel spills, engine fires, brake/wheel fires, and fuselage fires. Interior fire scenarios will include cockpit fires, forward galley and lavatory fire, waste bin fire, passenger area fires and cargo fires. We offer the most realistic training available at the highest level of safety possible.

Additionally, we can provide opportunity to rent the facility for training, film, and other purposes.
