Waterway Hurricane Debris Removal-Grant Funded

Project Description

Remove hurricane debris from approximately 37 miles of navigable waterways througout the county.  Please see attached map that shows which waterways are included in the project.

There are various navigable waterway systems that are included in this project.  

Latest Updates

Work began on March 10, 2026.  Debris removal has been completed as of June 18, 2026. The contractor removed approximately 2319 cubic yards of debris from the waterways.  Project is complete and now working on closing out project with NFWF and NOAA.
